We felt it was time for change. Our old brand name was a bit of a mouthful, and we would rather your mouth was full of our snacks rather than some words. Plus, we felt that 'satisfied' didn't quite do our epic flavours much justice.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why did you change your name from Satisfied Snacks to Marvin's?
Where did the name Marvin's come from?
Marvin's is the surname of Heather's Great Grandfather who founded the family hardware store, the Jackson-Marvin in the early 1900's.
Where are Marvin's Snacks based?
We are a UK company, based in Sussex on a beautiful farm site. Our snacks are produced and packaged all on site.
What happened to your crisps?
Yeah, we love our crisps and don't worry they'll be back. They are harder to make though, so we're focusing right now on the Kneadnots range. We're working on getting them in production again though.
What's the deal with your packaging?
For now we're using compositible film and labels. But behind the scenes we're working on other compostible/recycleable packaging, but it's going to take a little longer to get it into full production. We are completely focused however on ensuring everything from snacks, to packaging to labels to ink is sustainable and or recyclable.
What do you mean by 'created using 100% renewable energy'?
Quite simply, our kitchen, packing factory and office are all based out of one building in the Sussex countryside, UK. This amazing building is entirely off-grid, and powered by biomass (old vegetable oil and wood biomass). This renewable energy source means our impact on the planet is minimal.
Can I order to ship outside of the UK?
For the moment, we can only ship to mainland UK when you order from our shop. However, if you did want to send some snacks abroad, drop us a message and we will see what we can do for you. Use the contact us section, and we'll hop right on it.
Where did the name Crackles come from?
As you can imagine, we went through numerous names, which we veto'd in favour of Crackles. Our snacks are super crunchy, really crispy, and we've been told, have bit of a crackling / pork scratchings look about them. We therefore combined the look, texture and crunch together and came up with Crackles. But, if you have a better suggestion on what we should call them, we'd be really excited to hear about it. Send your thoughts and ideas on over to us via the contact us option below, and you never know, we might send you some Crackles as a thanks
